Our current focus at KaryoLogic is on human, mouse, and rat research specimens. We will gladly attempt other species karyotyping. Providing a good quality previously published karyotype for rare species karyotyping, if available, is helpful. Please note that our staff is not certified to diagnose human clinical specimens, only research specimens.

We now offer custom FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) services. To request a quote, email [email protected] with details of your project such as probe size, probe target, cell type, and whether labeled probe is commercially available, or whether your supplied DNA requires labeling by KaryoLogic.
Human chromosome 17 probes hybridized to a DAPI counterstained human metaphase spread clarify a complex rearrangement: red, 17q25; green, 17p13.
Other News:
It has been estimated that up to 10-15% of cell lines used in research are either misidentified or cross contaminated. Having cell lines karyotyped may uncover this costly problem.
